Highest Ranking Latina in the Xerox Office of General Counsel – Provides legal support to Xerox’s developing markets operation which is responsible for international business in more than 150 countries. She manages lawyers located in several countries in Latin America and Eastern Europe as well as providing legal support to the Xerox Latin America distributor group located in Miami.
Lead in-house counsel – Involved in leading negotiations in connection with a significant Xerox and General Electric transaction where she was responsible for: managing the relationship with Xerox’s outside law firm, advising business operations that were necessary to the completion of the transaction and supporting the internal business operations that were necessary to the completion of the transaction’s strategic and financial importance to Xerox and its most senior management.
Chair of the Diversity Committee – Office of General Counsel-In 2008 selected a diverse group of colleagues within the Xerox legal department to launch the department’s first diversity committee and remained Chair until the end of 2011. Created and conducted a law firm survey to understand the diversity efforts of Xerox’s top law firms and evaluate the amount of Xerox legal work being assigned to attorneys from diverse backgrounds.
One of the founding Trustees of the Young Women’s College Prep Charter School of Rochester – The first all girls public school in Rochester focusing on college preparation beginning in the 7th grade, including college visits and college counseling. The charter school opened in August 2012 and offers young women in Rochester the opportunity to learn in a single gender environment with a unique focus on getting each student ready for college enrollment and graduation.
