Secretary of the Puerto Festival Inc. Board – Helps to plan events year round that allow the local Rochester community to celebrate the Latino culture. Some of these events include: Noche de Comedia (comedy night), Vino con Sabor (wine tasting event), Latino Film Festival, and the “Puerto Rican Festival,” which is the area’s longest running ethnic event.
Running Coach for the Monroe Milers – Helps to coordinate, motivate and educate youth living in the City of Rochester- specifically, the Upper Monroe Avenue area- by training for a 5K over the period of eight weeks. Included are tips for leading a healthy lifestyle through regular exercise and proper nutrition.
Marketing and Fundraising Committee for the Advocacy Center Jazz Event – Helps to market and advertise the annual jazz event fundraiser, which raises money and awareness about The Advocacy Center, a local non-profit organization that helps families of children with disabilities. It is also a personal way of giving back.
Past Club Service Chair for the Rochester Latino Rotary Club – Conceptualized and planned the “Three Kings Day” celebration at IBERO children and youth center daycare. Through this event, underprivileged children are given the opportunity to learn about their history and heritage, and receive a gift from the Three Kings through the “Toys for Tots” organization.
Former President of the Parent Committee for Ibero Early Childhood Services – Helps plan activities and facilitate monthly meetings for parents of children enrolled at the daycare center to keep them informed and involved
