In the spirit of enjoying the beautiful colors of nature that the fall season has brought us, and because of our strong commitment to supporting Latinas, this year we decided to raise funds for the Latinas Unidas Scholarship Fund by organizing our 1st Annual 1M-5K Walk/Run/Hike.
In these unchartered times that Covid-19 has brought us, raising funds in the traditional way has not been possible. We believe this virtual event can not only help us with our fundraising goals, but it also would be fun to get our members and our community involved. Help us make it a success so it can be the first of many more to come!
We will kick-off the event on November 7th, and you will have until November 14th to complete your walk, run, or hike. You can choose to do 1 mile (1M) or the standard race distance 5 Km (5K).
Walk by yourself, with your family, or with your friends!
Registration Fees
- $25 per adult
- $10 per child ages 12 – 17 (Registered with an adult)
- $50 for an entire family living in the same household
- FREE for children under 12
Note: Children need to be registered with an adult. They can be added as a guest at the time the adult is registering.
If you want to run as a family and from your house 2+ adult or 1 adult with 3+ children want to participate then registration as a family is the way to go.
Along the way, we ask that you take pictures and share them with us so that we can share your progress. Once completed, send us a final picture showing your accomplishment to scholarship@latinasunidas.org.

About This Scholarship
Latinas Unidas has awarded over $60,000.00 in scholarships to support Latinas to attain formal training, certification, or college degrees. Achieving these milestones in their lives is possible because of caring people like you, who support this scholarship fund.
