Latinas Unidas Scholarship FundWe are currently accepting applications for the 2020 scholarships! The Latinas Unidas Scholarship Fund is a donor advised fund created from the partnership of the Latinas Unidas Network of Rochester and the Women’s Foundation of Genesee Valley. Scholarships are available for residents of the seven-county area of Genesee Valley: Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Yates, Orleans, and Wayne. Latinas Unidas has been awarding these scholarships since 2002. The recipients are adult Latinas who desire to pursue educational initiatives that do not receive funding from traditional sources. With this scholarship we support women age twenty-five or older who have entry level work experience and who are seeking additional training to develop skills required for job advancement and financial independence. We start accepting applications at the beginning of the year and we award the scholarships on the Fall at the annual Reconocimiento Awards event. The Latina Scholarship Fund will ensure that the lives of Latinas in our community will be touched and changed. We will create an environment in which Latinas have the tools to overcome social and economic barriers while realizing their full potential. Questions?
