Angelica Roman, a proud Puerto Rican born and raised in Rochester, NY, is a dedicated mother of three daughters, two of whom are soon heading to college.

Beyond her professional achievements, she finds joy in dancing, gardening, and unwinding by lakes, rivers, and oceans, embracing the tranquility and inspiration that nature provides.

Angelica Roman is a passionate educator, coach, and community leader dedicated to empowering individuals through education, mentorship, and advocacy. With a diverse background spanning teaching, program coordination, family engagement, and community health, Angelica has consistently demonstrated her commitment to fostering inclusive environments and driving meaningful change.

Currently serving in a variety of career roles she also hones in a passion for sports, Angelica helps students navigate their academic and athletic journeys while ensuring they can achieve post-secondary opportunities. She also plays a vital role in family engagement at WXXI and serves as a Varsity Softball Coach for the Rochester City School District, where she mentors student athletes both on and off the field.

Angelica’s expertise extends beyond the classroom—she has successfully coordinated large-scale community projects, facilitated cross-cultural communication efforts, and led initiatives to strengthen relationships between schools and families. Her ability to adapt, lead, and strategize has made her an invaluable asset in every role she undertakes.

A lifelong learner, Angelica holds specializes in Spanish Language, Special Education and Youth Justice. She is also the founder of Sparkling Elegant Events. Fluent in Spanish and with working knowledge of Portuguese and Sign Language, Angelica continues to break barriers and uplift her community through education, outreach, and leadership.
